Research, Results and Story Outline

 

This is an outline of my film if we were to film the whole movie. It is about a creature that has awakened from a deep slumber and been awoken by a construction of a new sports complex. The film starts with a girl that goes missing and a creature was seen following her and she is presumed dead. Many people start going missing and an investigation is underway. But while this is going on a group of teenagers camping in the woods near the construction site are in for a night that they did not expect. One by one the group is picked off. In the end only one person survives after one of the investigators kills the creature. I would leave the movie on a cliff hanger with the eyes of another creature opening and having a sting of music. The End!

Results:

A large number of people (50%) thought that a Horror genre y contains scary music and should contain mainly music. It was also found that the audience like a bit of a suprise so happy music beng a syncrinous to whats going on/about to happen in the music. I could incorperate fast, happy and scary music into my film.

When asked for their favourite genre here is what they said. A large amount was horror and comedy (33% of people asked liked horror).

These are gangster movies and the music they use is pretty light hearted and there is a slight respect in the music. In the opening sequence of Lock Stock there is fast, light hearted music when they are running suggesting that its happens regularly and their fast music connotes the running from the law and the excitement.

But, our movie is a Gangster Thriller, and from the questionnaire we found that people expected there to be a fast pace music involved with this genre. Our scene, having a chase involved we should use fast music, creating a sence of danger.

Results:

From our questionaire we gathered these results, we found that comedy was one of the favourites. There were a few people actually had a favourite. We could use this and add some comedy to the opening sequence.

A large number of people thought that a thriller usually contains fast pace music and should contain fast music. When asked why it should contain fast music they said it was to empathsise the adrenaline

A Quick Outline

Basically this is an outline of what is in our film if we were to film everything. It is about a gang that starts out wanting to best of the best thus start in the drug trade. They name themselves Alpha, the Greek letter for a, so the start, number one. But this gang is up against some real tough competition from rival gangs, the main rival is Omega, the Greek letter for the end. Because of this petty gang violence things get ugly. This rivalry sparks gang wars and Gang Alpha destroys the drug plantations of Omega. they win the Gang wars. Meanwhile Inspector Woodrow is put in charge of the drug problem, due to the rise in drugs and crime. He has unlimited resources to dispose of this problem. So he raids gang Alpha's warehouse where the drugs are being stored. This is when things get really messy and the gang bombs the police station. Over time the police recover. The gang get caught but let out due to sufficient evidence. A few weeks later the gang is 'chilling' and Woodrow happens to be in the area. The gang corner him and nearly kill him. it turns out to be a bust and the gang goes down in a hail of bullets.
